My Story!

In 2002 my baby girl and I where sleeping on an air mattress in my parents’ kitchen/laundry room. I was working 40+ hours at a hospital. My daughter would scream and cry and cling to me each day as I left for work not wanting me to go, she started calling me Bobbi and my parents’ her mom and dad, heartbreaking!

There were numerous occasions when my child was sick, running a fever, and my boss told me I had to bring her in to work with me and make her a pallet on the floor under the nurses station or I would be fired.

Fast forward to 2007…I was still working at the hospital and was now going to nursing school. I was seeing my child even less, but it was for her that I was doing this. In 2008 my mom wanted to open an ice-cream/fudge shoppe in the town we lived in “so the local kids would have somewhere to go and be safe and their parents wouldn’t have to worry.” I agreed to help her at the shoppe when I wasn’t working and in class.

Three months before we opened shoppe my mom was diagnosed with 4th stage ovarian cancer. I quit my job and nursing school to take care of my mom and I became co-owner of our family ice cream/fudge shoppe. My mom passed Thanksgiving Day 2010 and my dad and I kept her shoppe open.

I was married for the first time in 2012 and the ceremony was at our shoppe. My husband and I where going to keep running the ice cream/fudge shoppe after my dad retired, but in 2013 my husband was diagnosed with esophageal cancer. I once again found myself in the caregiver roll and I am so thankful I worked at our shoppe so I could spend all my time taking care of him. He passed, in 2014, one year and 10 months after we were married and I was diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease.

I got remarried in 2017 and my dad and I sold the shoppe in 2018, after 10 ½ years. I learned how short life really is and I knew I never wanted to work for anyone again. I became an entrepreneur in 2014 and have been with 5 companies.

I was totally done with network marketing and decided I’d go back to work for someone else in 2019. Then a friend of mine reached out about this business opportunity she had. She told me the company was based on Biblical Principles. I was skeptical, but I told her I would look with an open mind and pray about it. I had made up my mind I was not going anywhere God did not want me to go. I heard from our CEO and God told me this is where I needed to be.
